Interview with Ana Bezerra

How did Luza come into your life and why did you choose us to develop your career?

I was returning from a sabbatical year and was starting to look for a company to work for that had the same mindset and principles as mine, when Eda reached out to me on LinkedIn. We scheduled an interview with Nelson and Rita and the conversation was very light and fluid. It seemed that I already was a part of the team. I left the meeting with the feeling that I wanted to work with them. I wanted to be a part of Luza!

What do you most value in the company and how do you expect to contribute to joint growth? What qualities stand out in you?

What I value most in a company is a collaborative work environment where everyone is driven to help each other grow. I really enjoy working as a team and I believe that when we work together, adding our best qualities and strengths, we deliver our best results, which makes us better as a company.

What is your opinion about remote work and why do you think it is a good option?

I really enjoy working remotely! It gives me the work-life balance that I always desired. The time that I used to expend on commute is now being used to take a course, exercise or spend quality time with friends and family.

What are your main functions and skills?

I am a Data Analyst dedicated to understanding business needs, gathering and analyzing data, and building visualizations and reports on Power BI, in order to share insights and help clients in the decision-making process.

What project are you involved in and what do you do?

As I just arrived at Luza, I’m taking this time to study and improve my skills and knowledge.

How did the onboarding process go?

I felt very welcome on the onboarding. Everyone was very receptive and willing to help. This kind of environment and the sense of belonging is what I look for in a company.

Where do you live and what do you like to do in your free time? Is there any curiosity about you?

Travel and cooking are my passions, so on most weekends, I like to visit new places or try some new recipes. I recently move to Lisbon and have been spending my free time exploring the city.

What do you expect from the future?

I expect an exciting challenge up ahead. With the opportunity to grow not only professionally, but also personally while we watch Luza grow and become a reference in the Microsoft global sphere, not only internationally but also nationally.

Do you consider that we are fulfilling our claim of “We make work a positive experience? 😊 Why?

Yes, absolutely. The experience of working at Luza has been great. There is a genuine concern about whether we are doing well, if we have the necessary resources to develop ourselves professionally and personally. One of the things that I liked the most when I started working here was discovering that we could dedicate one day per month to do solidarity work. This kind of initiative shows me that I made the right decision to join Luza.
